Hankook Tire & Technology is taking a leap forward to emerge as a global, top-tier company by spurring development and securing original tire technology through innovative R&D.
The tire maker's products cover all segments from high-performance sports models to electric vehicle (EV) brands and pickup trucks. The technological innovation centers on Hankook Technodome, the tire maker's research center. The strategic partnerships with global premium brands, such as Porsche, Hyundai Motor, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, and supplying tires for 320 car models from 46 finished car brands around the world are proof of Hankook Tire's world-class technology and brand value, according to the company.
Hankook Tire announced the supply of tires for Hyundai Motor's recently launched IONIQ 6 EV. On the first day of pre-orders, the IONIQ 6 attracted a record 37,400 contracts, creating a sensation in the EV market.
The company also supplies tires for other premium brands, such as Porsche's Panamera four-door sports sedan and 718 Boxster high-performance sports roadster, as well as the first high-performance electric sports car, Taycan, and super premium SUVs Cayenne and Macan.
The ultra-high-performance tires allow Porsche's high-performance sports models to move smoothly even at high speeds and show the best performance on full power, proving their global top-level technology and luxury premium brand value.
In addition, the company will expand the supply of tires for BMW's high-performance brand M lineup X3 M and X4 M, flagship New 7 Series sedan, and M4 GT4 racing car.
"Hankook Tire will continue to expand its premium new car tire portfolio by establishing strategic partnerships with all global auto brands as well as securing global top-notch technology and outstanding quality competitiveness that leads the industry," a Hankook Tire official said.
