Hyundai Motor Group hosted a talk concert Thursday, inviting prominent psychiatrist Oh Eun-young with an aim to take care of the mental health of its employees.
Chung Euisun, the chairman of the automotive group, also attended the event and shared his workplace concerns, telling the doctor that he has been mulling over what would be a good way to improve communication between generations.
"It is my job to help all members of the group work well in good health. I will do anything to help you achieve your goals with positive thoughts," Chung told Hyundai Motor Group employees at the end of the event. "My goal is to make each of you happy both at home and workplace."
Known as Korea's Dr. Phil McGraw, the psychiatrist is a famous TV personality in Korea for listening to people's worries and giving counseling advice.
The automotive group elaborated that the event was designed to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and empathy by opening a space for employees to share their worries at work, home and in daily life at this time when people's lives have changed a lot due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The workplace is the space where we spend most of our day and there will be a lot of concerns about relationships and communication in this space," a spokesman of the group said. "We will continue to make efforts to create a bright and healthy organizational culture and work environment so that every member can communicate openly."
