Maserati, an Italian high-performance luxury car brand, introduced its new SUV Grecale at a launch ceremony in Seoul, Thursday.

The Grecale is the manufacturer's second SUV model and shares similarities with Maserati's MC20 super sports car in design and powertrain, thereby embedding the carmaker's passion, innovation and timeless design in perfect harmony, the company said.

"We are very pleased to present the Grecale, a symbolic model that redefines the identity and heritage of the Maserati SUV," Maserati Korea CEO Kim Gwang-cheol said in his welcome speech. "I am confident that this domestic launch of the Grecale will serve as an opportunity for Maserati to create a new second wind in the luxury SUV imported car market."

The Grecale will be released in three versions: the GT equipped with a 300-horsepower mild-hybrid engine, the Modena equipped with a 330-horsepower mild-hybrid engine and the Trofeo version which comes with a 530-horsepower V6 engine similar to that of the MC20.

The Grecale is a family-sized SUV model that affords both space and comfort. Based on the GT version, the overall length stands at 4,850 mm and comes with a 2,901 mm wheelbase and a total height of 1,670 mm, boasting a class-leading interior space.

In addition, the vehicle is technologically enriched with a digital screen that changes its digital skin and appearance according to the driver's tastes, and a head-up display that can be managed easily.

The Grecale's price starts at 99 million won ($73,810).
