Hyundai Motor Group's brands ― Hyundai Motor, Kia and Genesis ― will unveil new models including electric vehicles (EVs) such as Hyundai's Ioniq 6 and Kia's EV9 concept SUV at the Busan International Motor Show next week, according to the automotive giant, Monday.
The Busan International Motor Show, which will be held for 10 days from July 15 to 24 in the southeastern port city of Busan, will be an event to promote the automotive group's new and existing models to visitors.
Started in 2001, the biannual event is one of the country's representative motor shows together with the Seoul Mobility Show. The event was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among the automotive group's brands, Hyundai Motor said it will display 14 models. In particular, the motor show will be the first time it unveils a real model of its newly introduced EV, the Ioniq 6.
On June 29, Hyundai Motor released photos and videos showing the Ioniq 6's exterior and interior, raising consumers' expectations with its design reminiscent of a sporty sedan. The new vehicle is scheduled to be released here later this year.
Hyundai Motor will also display its Seven concept EV, which was first introduced at the LA Auto Show in November 2021, and other eco-friendly cars such as the Xcient hydrogen fuel cell-powered truck and Universe hydrogen bus.
A Hyundai Motor spokesman said, "We will unveil the real car of the Ioniq 6 for the first time at the Busan motor show and display all of our electric models."

Kia will showcase its EV9 concept model, which was also introduced at the LA Auto Show last year. Given there are not many full-size EVs in the market, the concept SUV succeeded in appealing to many visitors with its roomy space and futuristic exterior and interior designs at that time.
The automaker added it will also display a face-lifted Seltos compact SUV for the first time at the event. The Seltos has been leading the country's compact SUV segment with its bold-looking exterior and various high-tech features.
The automotive group's luxury brand Genesis will display its full lineup at the motor show as well as the Genesis X Speedium Coupe concept car, which was unveiled in New York in April.
