Jeep has unveiled concept vehicles for the future based on battery electric vehicle (BEV) technology, to take four-wheeling to the next level, the company said.

The largest models of the 10 concept vehicles, including the Magneto 2.0, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk PHEV and the Bob, were introduced during an online presentation at Easter Jeep Safari (EJS), to which the company invited several groups of reporters from around the globe, Thursday.

"The purpose of the vehicles introduced at EJS is not to manufacture, but to confirm the direction and potential of Jeep in the future," Mark Allen, the director of exterior design at Jeep, said.

"Jeep's unique brand identity is created through opinions and responses from owners who truly love Jeep. Therefore, based on the experience and knowledge gained through EJS, there is a possibility that some functions or designs will be grafted onto Jeep vehicles to be released in the future."

Now more than 80 years since its founding, Jeep is going fully electric, with its first battery-powered model to be launched next year.?

Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, confirmed it will sell only EVs in Europe by 2026 and will offer more than 75 EVs by the end of the decade.?

Allen says that there are more benefits to come once Jeep introduces EV models even for its popular Wrangler.

"The attractiveness of the electric Wrangler is the low end torque that starts at a low engine speed and the quietness that is close to silence," Allen said. "Current consumer concerns, such as the lack of EV charging facilities, short mileage and weight, are expected to disappear by the time Jeep launches the all-electric Wrangler."

The company has high expectations, as the transition to EVs will make various attempts possible in terms of design, as parts that had to be in the internal combustion engine will disappear, offering more freedom to utilize the space.
