Local construction firm DL E&C's ACRO ranked first in a survey of customers' favorite premium apartment complex brands, the company said Thursday. It is a notable achievement as competition among major construction companies to build high-end apartments has been intensifying here.

According to a survey conducted by real estate information platform Dabang, 42.8 percent of respondents picked DL E&C's ACRO as their most preferred brand. The survey was participated in by a total of 15,429 men and women from their teens to their 50s nationwide.

The ACRO was particularly preferred by customers between their 30s and 50s regardless of gender.

When asked about the first image that comes to mind when thinking of high-end apartments, 30.7 percent of the respondents said DL E&C's luxury brand.

ACRO established itself as a representative high-end apartment complex brand in southern Seoul's posh Gangnam District, with the ACRO River Park in Banpo and ACRO River View in Sinbanpo.

DL E&C has been making new attempts to realize a residential culture that is differentiated from existing high-end housing based on its distinctive philosophy and standards. The construction firm is consistently developing new products based on its analysis of the lifestyles of rich customers and their living environments.

"The popularity of high-end apartment complex brands is soaring here as people set higher standards for apartment brands and their value increases. In particular, the introduction of luxurious brands has emerged as an important factor to gain an advantage in the urban maintenance business market," a Dabang official said. "As large construction companies that have insisted on a single brand have recently launched high-end brand apartments, consumers' interest in premium brands is expected to continue for the time being."
