The Volkswagen Jetta has returned to the domestic market with a new sophisticated appearance and a high level of marketability. The model was recognized for its marketability after receiving pleasant feedback from all generations, according to the company, Thursday.

A key selling point of the new Jetta is its price tag, which is in the 30 million won range, and includes Volkswagen's state-of-the-art driving assistance, safety and convenience specifications as standard.

The new Jetta, which started pre-contracting on Oct. 14 and deliveries in November, is proving its popularity by selling 475 vehicles within a month of its launch. The new Jetta is a partially modified model of the 7th generation of the compact, and its marketability has also been significantly strengthened along with stylish exterior design changes. The newly installed 1.5TSI gasoline turbo engine provides higher efficiency and solid driving performance unique to Volkswagen.

The new Volkswagen Jetta was developed so that more customers can enjoy the essence of German engineering proven through the 7th generation. In particular, a 1.5TSI gasoline turbo engine, which is 10 horsepower higher than the 1.4TSI gasoline turbo engine installed in the previous model, is newly installed, with a maximum output of 160 horsepower (5,500 rpm) and a maximum torque of 25.5 kg with an 8-speed automatic.

Along with the partial updates, the new Volkswagen Jetta also underwent some design changes on its exterior, boasting a more sophisticated appearance, a larger body, and a strong presence. On the front, two rows of chrome help form the radiator grille's distinctive look and are connected seamlessly to the LED headlight, inheriting Volkswagen's latest design DNA.

The new Jetta is available in a total of six exterior colors. In particular, two new exterior colors, Kings Red Metallic and Rising Blue Metallic, have been added to provide more color options.
